I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend last weekend! Didn’t the week fly by? Here in North Carolina the weather was beautiful and warm and perfect. I love it when Easter comes later than in March. When it comes in March you can’t even wear the Easter clothes you plan on wearing! Here’s a quick look into our day because, you know, I just can’t help but sharing.

I remember growing up and thinking that only kids’ years revolved around the “school calendar” – starts in August and goes to June. Then I became a teacher, and my year still started in August and ended in June. But even now, without any connection to schools at all, my year still seems to come to an end in June. We’re wrapping up Bible Study Fellowship in just a few weeks, so I’m starting to think about what I’m going to do for Bible study this summer.
(Which, by the way, next year’s Bible Study Fellowship will be on the life of Moses, and I highly recommend it. There’s even young adult classes in some places. Check out more information here. I’ve learned so much and my Bible knowledge has increased exponentially!)
Have you started to think about a Bible study for the summer? Well, I have a thought for you! I’ll be leading a Bible study/book study this summer in-real-life for single women, and I thought I’d include you all and do it online too. I’ll let you know the study in the days to come, but for now, think about that!
A Lot of Prayer
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about life and trials and why we have to go through them. On the spectrum of trials I’ve been blessed, no doubt, but that doesn’t mean I have had any either. They’ve been tough, they’ve been painful, but guess what? I don’t know that I would take them back. Oh sure, if I could take them back and still have what they’ve given me – perspective, maturity, my relationship with Jesus – then of course I’d love to not have them and have their gifts too. But that’s not how life works. And typically that’s not how God works.
This weekend I’ll be meditating on this verse and praying that each one of us sees how God wants to use our trials for good and then gives us wisdom and courage to know how to do that.

And a Little Encouragement
So I read A LOT on my iPhone, and I had all these links open in by browser to go back and copy and paste for you. But I waited too long and other pages I opened replaced them. And because my memory is next to slim these days, I don’t remember what the articles were. So . . . here are a few other ones that I want to share. These are a bit more important!
You probably know that my husband had a heart transplant a few years ago which makes organ donation super important to me. April is National Donate Life month, and I want to almost beg you to become an organ donor. Even human tissue can help someone in need – not just big organs like hearts! So please become a donor! I want to know more about my readers! Can I ask you to PLEASE take one minute to take this short survey! It’s quick and painless and anonymous! Thank you a million!
