Is This the Heart God Chose? – Day 18

BIG NEWS with a lot of prayers needed!!!

John potentially has a heart. The doctor is going soon to examine it and see if it is perfect for John. We will find out soon if it is John’s heart and if he’ll be going for transplant.

However, John needs a lot of prayers right now. He is very stable and doing very well. His labs are great, and everything looks good. But he is not responding to commands even though he’s off of the sedation, and the doctors are concerned about taking him into surgery without him following commands. There is a possibility that John has experienced some neurological damage (stroke, blood clot, etc.). John is moving his legs, feet, and arms. This may just be that he has been sedated for so long with so much medication that it is going to just take him longer to come out of it.

We need intense prayer right now for these things:

1. John responds to commands before going into surgery.
2. That he does not have any neurological problems.
3. If he does have a neurological problem, God miraculously heals him before he goes into surgery.
4. Wisdom for the doctor who is going to look at the heart. That he chooses the perfect heart for John – the one God chose first.
5. John’s new heart is strong, healthy, and perfect for him.
6. There are no complications during his transplant. Wisdom for the doctors during transplant.
7. John wakes up from transplant, and that he recovers quickly with no complications.
8. For John’s heart donor’s family right now in their time of grief. That God will give them comfort, love, peace, and hope.
9. That we look to God throughout this process for guidance and hope. That we remember that He is in control. That He is continually glorified.

I will let you know soon if this heart is the one for John, and if he’s headed for transplant. Please continue to pray diligently for the next several days.
