  • Jenni Ellis :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day ten of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

I’m so happy to introduce you to Jenni Ellis! Jenni says:

I want my son to know that God comes first in my life. While I can tell him that, I have to model that for him because I know he will pay much more attention to what I do than what I say.

When I “met” Jenni I didn’t know that she grew up and lives in Atlanta. I grew up in Atlanta, too! I moved to North Carolina six years ago, but miss Georgia terribly. Then I found out that Jenni is an administrator at a private school across the street from the elementary school where I taught six years ago! What a small world!

I love Jenni’s story and words here because she offers so much encouragement to all single women and most especially single moms. So get comfortable, read her interview, and soak in her words of wisdom.

I wish I could say no, I never do or have gotten mad at God. I use to a lot more than I do now. But that is because I didn’t understand God’s plan for me. But now when discontentment and heartache creeps in I push it out by reminding myself that my Father in Heaven knows me, He knows what He needs me for, and He will bless me as I stay strong and have faith in Him and His timing for me.

Sierra is 25 years old and lives in Olympia, Washington. She is an Event Coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce. She also blog at “Enjoy to the End” and  “Sisters, What!”, which is a blog she writes with her sisters. Let’s meet Sierra!

My comfort then, if I’m ever in a pile on the floor, is Jesus. He knows. He’s been there, He’s dealt with the same things. I know it could sound cliché but He has been more of a comfort to me than a roomful of people ever could be. When the loneliness hurts I often pray something of the following, “Lord, please help, please hold my heart. Help me to worship well.”

Janaye is 27 and lives in Apex, NC. She works as a nurse in the ICU burn unit. Janaye also serves as a youth group leader at her church.

  • Gretchen Magner :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day ten of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

Today we’re talking to Gretchen Magner! Gretchen says:

I guess I just got tired of waiting around for Mr. Right to come knocking on my door and decided to live the abundant life that Jesus has for me right now. I falsely believed that the abundant life only happened when I got married, but Jesus didn’t say that he came to give us and abundant life when we get married. He came to give us an abundant life right where we are! By partnering with God as a single woman, I find that the abundant life is available to me while I wait for Mr. Right. I also believe that by living an abundant life right now can only help attract the right man who the Lord has for me.

Gretchen is 26 years old and lives in Massachusetts. Presently, she is working as a teaching assistant at an elementary school and loves it! Gretchen also blogs at Grace Filled Journey and has a new online jewelry store called Reyèl. She partners with Haiti’s Jewels and Haitian artisans which helps create a stable income for men and women in Haiti.

  • Emma Danzey :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day ten of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

I’m so happy to introduce you to Emma Danzey! Emma says:

I tell my friends that a lot of times people say, “when you are content, then God will give you a boyfriend.” This is very false. Women do not “earn” boyfriends because they are content and supposedly do not want them. Women enter relationships because it is time for them to minister to others no longer as a single. I have a constant inner peace/contentment because of Jesus, but sometimes my emotions can be sad, frustrated, or lonely. Contentment does not mean that you do not desire a relationship; it is knowing that you do not need one, all you need is Jesus.

Emma a 21-year-old senior at Liberty University studying Music & Worship with a specialization in Artistry. God called her into a Christian Music Career/Ministry in 2012, she recorded her first EP in 2013. Since this God has opened up many opportunities, and she is currently working on her next EP. Emma is also starting the Polished Conference for teen girls grades 6-12 that kicks off this November.
