  • Joy Eggerichs :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

So they tell you to shoot for the stars, and this time I did! I reached out to Joy Eggerichs, founder of Love and Respect Now, on Twitter and asked her if she would be willing to participate in this blog series. I remember “meeting” Joy online sometime during the past few years, but I don’t remember the details (and I’m sure she doesn’t either). I always feel a little hesitant to ask favors of well-known ministry people because I know they’re so busy and have a lot of people asking for favors. However, Joy was very gracious and said “yes”! But there was one catch . . .

She wanted to do a phone interview!

  • Liv Migenes :: Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day ten of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

Today I introduce you to Liv! Liv says:

I hope to be a wise wife not a young one.

There is so much wisdom in Liv’s interview! First of all, I’m intrigued by Liv because she lives in New York City. I consider myself a city girl who loves big cities, and yet I’ve never been to New York City. Also, Liv is in her thirties. I love single women in their thirties who are living passionately for Jesus. I was single for the first part of my thirties, and I often wonder if I would have grown in maturity and wisdom like Liv has. May this interview bless you abundantly!

  • Emily Enockson :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day nine of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

I’m so excited to introduce you to Emily! Emily says:

When I was small my prayer was that my single years would be used for His glory, and right now I believe that God is answering that prayer.   Contentment has become a daily (if not hourly) choice in this season, and because of God’s grace, I am confident that God is using me for such a time as this.

Emily is an online friend turned real-life friend! One reason I love online ministry. We served as group leaders for an (in)Courage online community group for single women, Skyped and chatted, and became friends! This past spring Emily came to visit me in North Carolina after she attended the Make Things Happen conference in Chapel Hill. Anyway, I love Emily! Like a lot of you, she’s who I wish I had been when I was single. Let’s read more about Emily!

  • Jessica Bufkin :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day seven of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

I’m so excited to introduce you to Jessica! Jessica says,

I see this season—however long it might be—as an adventure. I want to thrive during it. I want to travel as far as my budget allows, stay up late having great conversations with as many groups of people as possible, and minister to others as much as I can. Sure, there are some days I yearn for the adventure to end and to settle more predictability, but the Lord always brings me back to seeing the beauty in being untethered.

Jessica is the editor of SingleRoots.com and even though she has lived in several different cities, she presently resides in Nashville. In this interview, Jessica challenges single women in many ways. I encourage you to really heed her words. They’re full of wisdom!

  • Rebekah Snyder :: An Interview with a Single Woman Making a Difference

It’s day seven of 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women. You can find a list of all the interviews in this post.

I’m so excited to introduce you to Rebekah! Rebekah says,

As long as I’m a single woman with purpose, I’m completely satisfied. The doubts and discontent come creeping in when I get so bogged down in the mundane that I lose sight of the grand vision. God has a purpose for me, and I don’t need to be married for Him to fulfill that.

Rebekah is a 23-year-old “starving artist”. No, she’s not starving, but she is pursuing writing career while working in a restaurant waiting tables. Coming from someone who was in a job she disliked for many years, I think this is awesome and I always encourage single women to do what they’re passionate about now! Rebekah is also the author of the book Beyond Waiting: Redefining the Purpose of Singleness. I can relate to so many of Rebekah’s words in this interview – (I even vacation at Fripp Island!). So let’s get started . . .
