  • Young or Wise? Which Wife Would You Rather Be?

This past October I hosted a 31 days series called 31 Days of Interviews with Single Women Making a Difference.

There was one woman I interviewed who is 34 years old. When I asked her this question, “What is your biggest pet peeve about the way single women are perceived?” This is how she answered:

“I would say that my biggest pet peeve is that once you’ve hit 30, you’ve reached your expiration date. If God can open up Sarah’s womb way past her ‘prime’ years, then God can bring my husband at any age. I hope to be a wise wife not a young one.” ~ Liv Migenes

As a single woman I always felt silly sending Christmas cards.

  • 6 Reasons Single Women Should Decorate for Christmas

“Decorating for Christmas is a lot of work. And money.”

You tell yourself this as you look around your home come mid-November.

“If I had a husband and some kids I’d do it. But just for me it’s a waste. What’s the point? I’ll just wait until I get married. Then I’ll decorate and bake and make cool crafts at Christmas time.”

And so you wait. And maybe years past by and you still wait.

But what are you waiting for – really?

Today it’s Single Saturdays at Woman to Woman Ministries. I’m sharing six reasons single women should decorate for Christmas. Join me there to read more!

  • What Kind of Predictions are You Making about Your Future Marriage?

I see it all too often. (And I did it, too.) A young woman has bright dreams for her future. She wants the godly man, the one who loves Jesus and loves her. The only problem is not doing anything to prepare for him – or attract him. No, instead she’s partying too much, dating guys that may be nice but aren’t committed to Jesus, and “sowing her wild oats” as they say. Then she wonders why she’s not getting the “good guy”.

Are You Making Good Predictions about Your Future Marriage?

Today is Single Saturdays at Woman to Woman Ministries, and I’m sharing about making good predictions about your future marriage. A prediction is what you think will happen in the future. However, a good prediction is what you think will happen in the future based on what’s happening right now.

Are you making good predictions about your future marriage? Join me at Woman to Woman to find out!

  • Are You a Bitter Single Woman?

Before I go any further, I still struggle with bitterness sometimes. Bitterness is not a “single woman” problem. No matter your stage of life, you will most likely struggle with bitterness at times. Hopefully, bitterness never becomes a stronghold by taking root in your life, but be assured that it will try.

  • What to Do When You Feel Like You Have No One

For most of my life I have felt like I have no one. Sure, I have people around me. Both of my parents stayed married, and I have friends. However, even though God has blessed me abundantly in many ways, giving me mature, godly, older women who can disciple and mentor me has not been one of them.

What to Do When You Have No One

I would be lying to you if I told you this doesn’t make me sad and leave me bitter. It does. However, I’ve learned the solution for when you feel you have no one. I’m sharing it today for Single Saturdays at Woman to Woman Ministries. Please join me there and find out what you can do, too, when you have no one.
